Welcome to West Town Lane Primary School. We are a 420 place Primary School taking children from the ages of 4 to 11 years where learning is an adventure.

Our school prides itself on the opportunities it offers children, providing a rich and broad curriculum. We ensure that in addition to the statutory curriculum, we offer enrichment activities, theme days, extra-curricular activities and residential experiences for children that provide an 'all round' education.
The school aims for high standards and expects excellent behaviour at all times and in all aspects of school life. We hope you will support this, sending your child to school in correct uniform each day and ensuring good communication between us.

Have a clear out!

We will be holding a 'bring and buy' sale in September in aid of the flood victims in Pakistan, so if you have any items that could be sold then please put them to one side. The date is to be confirmed, but should be in the second or third week of term. Let's start the academic year helping those in desperate need.

The children in school have discussed the rights and responsibilities of children throughout the world over the past year, and have written to the Presidents of the USA and Somalia, as well as writing to Nestle in respect of the rain forest environment. It seems right we help those without the most basic of needs- food and clean water.

Uniform

If you ordered uniform from the office before the summer break, please collect it on either Thursday 2nd or Friday 3rd September. There is a certain amount in stock, therefore please pop into the office if you need any particular items.

When do we go back?

Term begins for Years 1-6 on Thursday 2nd September. Children joining us in Early Years begin on Monday 6th September.

Operation Relentless!

The local Police have informed us that they will be undertaking 'Operation Relentless' the week beginning 6th September. This is an operation to clamp down on cars being parked illegally outside schools at the beginning and end of the day. Our school will be visited during the week, so please ensure you park sensibly and considerately- not only that week but the whole year!
